Extractions will be performed if needed followed by a tailored facial mask. This purifying facial is a deep, pore cleansing treatment addressing the 5 basic steps to reduce the visible signs of acne: reduce inflammation, reduce acne-causing bacteria, encourage cellular turnover, manage excessive sebum (oil) production, and repair the skin’s barrier function. The session begins with a thorough cleansing with steam, followed by a gentle exfoliation with active fruit enzymes to improve cell turnover. The therapist performs detailed extractions if indicated followed with a high frequency and ice globe massage session. High frequency oxygenates the surface of the skin, kills acne bacteria, stimulates circulation, aids in detoxification, and contracts blood vessels minimizing redness and inflammation. A trichloroacetic acid peel, or TCA peel, is a type of cosmetic chemical peel performed to treat a wide range of skin problems, such as visible signs of aging, sun damage, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and texture issues. This TCA has been buffered with the lightening ingredients of kojic acid, azelaic acid and arbutin which are tyrosinase inhibitors that control hyperpigmentation. *PLEAST NOTE: client must be on the complete homecare regimen at least 1 week prior to the series and during the series.
